What is this? The Carnival celebration for the kids in this small Tuscan town was cancelled the other Sunday – due to bad weather. So they held it today – well after the strict religious period of Lenten Sacrifice has begun. Is nothing Sacred anymore? All afternoon there are hundreds of kids running around, making lots of noise, throwing confetti and generally frolicking about. It is going on – as we try to complete this posting. Do not blame us if what follows seems a bit scattered. Maybe it would be better if we were back in the States where everything is under control.

Notes on Notes and the apparent insanity of it all
- I have an old note here (Dated 6/2015) which claims research showed the first quarter of that year broke all records of Global Heat…I remember there were Climate Deniers then…I wonder if those Climate Deniers of yore are of the same persuasion today that they were then. Are today’s Deniers a brand new breed? …Younger, more uninformed and unreasonable than their elders?
- I read the mere sight of money can make some people cheat. I have also read there is less actual cash money out there because of digital transactions and such. Therefor, I conclude there is less cheating going on than there was when there was more cash out there in plain sight. Am I missing something? Maybe there is cheating going on with the ‘ones & zeroes’, but we can’t see it. Who knows what is what anymore?
- There are studies out there which show eating Spicy foods: Boosts metabolism, prevents gastric damage, and reduces risks of Heart Disease and Cancer. Further, Studies show: If you eat Spicy once a week you reduce your (earlier than ‘average’) death odds by 10%…Eat Spicy twice a week, you reduce your odds by 14%…My math shows if you eat Spicy 83 times a week you will not die. Buy Tobasco and don’t bother to put it in the fridge.
- I read every 7 years we have a complete molecular overhaul. I read this over 7 years ago – I’ve checked and my molecules look pretty much the same to me as they did then. None of them look brand spanking new off the press…However, what I read in the past did not promise my overhauled molecules would be new…just new to me…so I don’t really know who or what I am…I guess what can be said is people can change; but can remain basically the same. Nothing makes sense anymore.
- There is a theory going around which concludes Countries which have McDonald’s in them do not go to war against each other. ‘Mickey D’s’ has pulled out of Russia and is pulling out of some places in the Middle East. UH OH!
- China has a “Spiritual Action Committee”, which hands down certain ‘Commandments’, if you will: No Spitting on the streets. No littering. No shouting on the phone in public places…and more. It seems bad behavior over there is pretty mild compared to what we’ve got. If I were in charge of our Spiritual Action Committee I would start off with: No guns (automatic or otherwise) in public places. No road rage allowed! No feet on chairs in restaurants & cafes. No lying. (But that’s an old one, I think)
