PROBLEMS:
- One of my problems is: I was brought up to think: The Good guys Win. Back in the days when America was trying to be great…on TV, when it was in Black & White, the television code was the show ended with the good guys winning…The Lone Ranger, Ironsides, the Rifleman…they all won. Wyatt Earp, John Wayne, Roy & Dale… Sure, there were bad guys…but “Curses…” they were “Foiled Again”. (…so said the villain Dr. Sylvania in Capt. Marvel as he tried to escape justice)…and I think I thought, in the real world, the good would win out and the bad guys would go to jail – and serve their time. I thought that was the “American Way”…And it turns out it looks like that is not the American Way, anymore.
- Another Problem: Me? I’m one of those who think the President has lost his grasp on his mental faculties & overall stability. (This is not meant as an insult, mind you.. I’m .just concerned)…and should ease himself out of office asap…but I am equally concerned about what would happen next…so, I don’t know what or whom to pray for.
- What if the Europeans had not discovered America? Was America great before it was discovered? Well, I guess the Europeans did not actually discover America, because it had been discovered by the people who were already there. But what if the American Indians had grown in number and still controlled the land? Would there be tall buildings and paved roads and polluted rivers and dirty air and Atomic bombs? Would there have been any real progress, like there was? …Such as we benefit from today? And would the Mohicans have invented AI? I think not. My mind rambles because my President has disappeared for the last 5 days and I don’t have any new hard news to think about.
