Apparently, there is a fish, something like ‘the Cleaner Wrasse, a four-inch fish that lives in the coral reefs…well, they’ve found this fish can recognize itself in a mirror. (Do not ask me how they know this – just go with it…) Hitherto, it was felt that only Great Apes, Bottlenose Dolphins, Killer Whales,Eurasian Magpies, occasional Asian Elephants and Homo Sapiens can recognize themselves in the mirror. It is a sign of intelligence, they say.
- I find it hard to recognize myself in the mirror these days.
- I recognize myself easier when I see pictures of me that were taken years ago. That must be some sort of sign of intelligence. No?
