Are the babies screaming for more worms? Or are they singing to their mother? Or are they asking how to fly? Or, where is the father? Is this what families are all about? We could have shown you the nest next door; but the babies flew the coop – so’s to speak. They are probably already in Capistrano. Anyway, if the babies were humans and survived 18 years…eventually, they would represent 5 new votes…and that alone should be enough for the Party that wants more babies. But what if the mother did not want these babies in the first place? What about her? Nobody asks enough questions…maybe that guy in Ohio has all the answers.

- Here is what I think I have learned: You can fool all of the fools all of the time; but you cannot un-fool any of the fools anytime. I know that intrudes upon a double negative, which in this case does not produce a positive. It can get tricky. So, in general, it is best to leave the fools alone.
- I read a study which claimed we learn from our Failures 3% of the time…and we learn from our Successes 1% of the time. If my math is correct, then we learn 4% of the time from our efforts.. If a 70% figure is low passing – then we really ought to turn everything over to AI, where I read AI is learning 100% of the time. If AI could vote, I wonder who, or what, it would vote for. …Maybe it’s not old enough, yet, to vote, come to think of it. …and no one has told me what Race AI has turned into.
- I had an Algebra teacher who used to dispense bits of wisdom between algebraic problems. For example, he once opined while standing at the blackboard: “There is too much laughter in this world.” (This was after some student laughed out loud about some rude occurrence in the back of the room) Laughter, he said, came after three things: 1) i.e., A man slips on a banana peel (Laughter…but somebody got hurt) 2) You did not expect the punch line that was delivered (a sign of ignorance) 3)…you were totally surprised at something and laughed as a result ( another sign of ignorance.) Well, I almost laughed my way to failing his course. A equals B over C, give me a break. Anyway, what made me think of Mr. Stephens today and his laughter bit was Kamala and her laugh. I think it would make him smile; because her laughter does not seem to come from a place of rudeness. or ignorance…he would probably think there was not enough smiling to go around. A healthy laugh equals several pleasant opportunities divided by possibilities – something like that.
- I am working on a theory. It goes something like this: People who are technically gifted and proficient, tend to have an inverse relationship with their social skill-set. In regular parlance what I hypothesize is ‘Tekkies’ are nerds. But, in today’s world this is ok because they also tend to become rich, rich, rich – which makes them socially very attractive. Here I have gone on and barely scratched the surface…I’ll have to try again next week.

- “When a great genius appears in the world you may know him by this sign; that the Dunces are all in a Confederacy against him.” –
- “The serpent, the king, the tiger, the stinging wasp, the small child, the dog owned by other people, and the fool: these seven ought not to be awakened from sleep.” -Chanakya, 3rd Century BCE Indian Polymath
- “Fool me once, shame on – shame on you. Fool me – you can’t get fooled again.” -George W. Bush
- “Father forgive us for what we must do /You forgive us; we’ll forgive you /We’ll forgive each other till we both turn blue/ Then we’ll whistle and go fishing in heaven.” -John Prine, “Whistle & Fish”
