Are you afraid of the dark? Do you see bad things out there? Or do you see something nice and cozy in the woods, even if you don’t dare go out there without an AR 15 and some extra clips? Squint, under the tree on the left there is something…Is it a meat eating animal? A bag of cash? Maybe some cryptos in a blockchain? Or is it just a lousy picture taken from long ago?

- I’ve been thinking about the Wise Man and wondering why he is frequently depicted as living in a cave. Is it because: He wants to stay away from humans? Or, is it because he can’t afford to live in an apartment? In today’s world, in the U.S., will they evict him from the cave because it is illegal to live there? Is he really not so wise; but is on the run? ( See? There is much to think about other than why is a Stupid, Convicted, Lying, Sexual Assaulting Fool, at even odds to live in a White House. I tried to stay away from the topic of the day; but I cannot be helped. I’ve been told the condition is known as a ‘Psycho-Neurotic Twitch’)
- Clausewitz said “War is not an independent phenomenon, but the continuation of politics by different means.”…and it made me think that “Tourism is just Immigration by different means, or Immigration is Tourism by different means. I don’t know what that means; but I suspect too much of either is no good – as is true of too little. I live in a town that thrives on tourism…and if the tourists decide not to come, because of Soccer somewhere, or the Paris Olympics, or some disease…then the town suffers…but if there are too many tourists walking about, the ‘locals’ don’t like it…It gets complicated, no? Back in the States we need immigrants to do a lot of work that needs to be done, work that we “..don’t want to do” or can’t do…and, yet we do not really want the immigrants to become full-fledged, blood ‘Americans’ – whatever that means. I think, maybe, I’ll go live in a cave.
- About fifteen years ago, I first heard the term “Scientific Cabal”. When I heard it, it came from a Climate Change denier who posited that a Scientific Community (made up of unidentified culprits) was in on some kind of action to make money by saying there was Climate Change. No amount of facts could change his mind. Today, I have come to the conclusion there is an “Unscientific Cabal” which is organized to hopefully profit from not addressing the reality of Climate Change. This Cabal has a lot of money and powerful forces within. I am going to my Google Maps to find the nearest cave.
