This Posting celebrates seven (7) years of my weekly publishing of “Notes…” Perhaps there is no smaller (in number) following of such a long tenured Blog. Bearing this in mind, and realizing I have little to lose – I have decided to take a more direct and strident approach to what I really would like to accomplish with my happy efforts. If, at the end of it all…if ‘They’ were to etch some words on my Tombstone, I would appreciate something like the following: “Here lies a man who helped bring down the Presidency of Donald J. Trump and his Vice President and all those who supported that fascistic, corrupt, quid pro quo-ing, immoral and bigly lying autocratic regime.”…Something like that would be good. Of course, I would like all that written in a few years, not right now.
I have no big Congressional salary to lose, no corporate contracts to lose. So why not give it a try? If anybody can be President…then why can’t a nobody stop that anybody from being President? The Donald did not have a plan the first time he ran for President – and look what happened. He came out of nowhere…and that’s where I’m coming from; but I would start with a plan. I would become an Influencer and a Podcaster extraordinaire… I would go on X, TikTok, Bluesky, FB, Insta, SubStack, Medium, U-tube, Truth Social…all of them…I would Crowdfund and Venmo and go out in the streets and beg for money so I could afford to speak on an equal level with the Musks and Ramaswamys and I would tell the good folk of America the truths and we would all rise up and throw the bums out by recalls and elections and protests and sit-ins and it would be be safe to talk to your neighbors again…
…My question is: Do you ever have thoughts like these? …and if so, what do we do with them?
