Last week I tried to ‘Boost’ my Post…this could be done by paying some form of Social Media to ‘push’ a posting out to a thousand or more people than it usually goes to…My application to ‘Boost’ was denied…”They” would not tell me why. My guess is I made the mistake of mentioning somebody’s name in what I thought was humorous derision. So…I will refrain from mentioning someone’s name in future posts…Trying to think of something to write about, something I’m wondering about, or interested in – I decided to look into the pile of old notes which sit on my desktop. Here is a sampling of what intrigued me years ago:
- 2018: I read the Federal Government spends 20% of GDP on Soc, Sec. & Medical…the rest basically on Military & Security…Should taxes go up? or Military or Aging go down? (Same old, same old?)
- 1999: I read Lee Iacocca (Head of Chrysler, during ‘Bailout’) spent $2 million on gold faucets in the company suites in the Waldorf….and bathrooms were separated by rank…(Sign of times to come?)
- 2012: Credit Cards…it is estimated there were 1.1 billion of them worldwide…10 for every American cardholder…charges $700 billion goods in 1994…$325 Billion in debt…(Ibid to comment above?)
- 2018: Studies show Violence and Sexual aggression in mice is caused by an absence of Nitric Acid…(Has anyone done a study on how a lack of Nitric Acid affects MAGA types?)
- 2015: There is a theory which holds that ‘intersections/mixes’ of peoples will bring about ground breaking ideas….large quantities of ideas produces ‘Good ideas’…Mosaics, Melting pots, Confluences, Rainbows… (Where did these types of wonderings go?)
- 1989: I read that in 1857 Baseball had 21 Aces and the first team to get 21 Aces won the game. (See? We have made progress, after all.)
