Some thoughts:
- It is said Stalin said, “No People, No Problem”…and he put that thought into action. I think our current version of a Leader believes “No Facts, No Problem”…and is putting his thoughtlessness into action. (In case you were away: He recently removed the Poverty Rate stats from the Gov. Site. ….He fired the woman who reported declining job figures….”No Facts, No Problem”…it goes on and on…
- If it is true ‘Corporations are people, too’ as the Supreme Court has opined…Are People Corporations, too? Or are People only People? If you were a Congressman drinking in a bar, and a person and a corporation walked in and each had a few complaints you might be able to help with…which one would you listen too?
- Fact following fiction…if ‘We the people’ are all equal, as the Constitution holds, then it seems to me some of us are more equal than others. In “Animal Farm”…it was Sampson, the big pig, who ran things and said he was more equal than others. I can’t remember how things ended up on the Farm…maybe I don’t want to know.
- The people working in the White House for the President, or for Project 2025, are very Good at what they do…too bad they don’t to want to do Good by what they do. It is possible ‘Doing Good’, will be described in Project 2026. But first, they’d have to get rid of: The Comedians, the Sex & Climate Hoaxes, the Democratic Party…oh, and don’t forget ‘The Lying Press” …which includes the ‘Networks’ as we knew them. Then, maybe, they could start to do some Good.
- I have noticed, more than before, everybody is asking for money…The people who speak to you on the internet are asking for donations to support their columns, the people on Instagram who have three stocks they think you should buy…the columnists who have their own shows, the Congresspeople, the people who want to become Congresspeople, the people who raise money for good causes, the school you went to, the man on the street, the Banks, even the Billionaires, The President of the United States (who may be only a Crypto-Billionaire, to be fair)…everybody wants more money…..I’m not saying this is new or a bad thing – I’m just saying I notice it more than I did before.
I also notice my word allotment is not up to my wonderings this week.
