Right In Front of Your Very Lying Eyes

So much is happening these days… It’s not necessarily your fault; but you may not be aware of what is what. Below is a short quiz you can take to self score your knowledge of Current Affairs:

  1. Tariffs are: 1)…A tax that you don’t pay; but somebody else does and the U.S. Government collects them and then pays down its national debt and everybody wins. 2)…Something that should be inflicted on our trading Allies because they have been ‘screwing us’ especially under Biden and Obama (who was never an American). 3)…Going to Make America Great Again by forcing Americans to make everything at home and then all the immigrants will leave – something like that. 4)…Not given a correct definition in this quiz.
  2. Which Word listings best describes the mental condition of the current President. 1) person, man, woman, camera, TV  2) elevator, woman. grope, lawsuit, conviction  3) gold, toilet, corruption, more gold 4) revenge, lawsuits, golf outings, bullying, anger 5) “Hummus” (Instead of ‘Hamas’) “United Stages…” ( Instead of ‘United Sates’) “Immigrants… Don’t speak languages” (Instead of ??)  …”Thighland” (for Taiwan? Thailand? or Epstein’s Island?..?)  “Dear Mr. Japan…Thank you for your Attention to this Matter.”  6) All of the above – unless you have gone over to ‘The Other Side’ and do not notice anything wrong here.
  3. The new head of the National Counter-Terrorist Center, Thomas Fugate, is: 1) A 22 year old Jan 6th denier. 2) A 22 year old Jan 6th denier 3) A 22 year old Jan 6th denier

  5. Windmills: 1)…are “…driving whales to go crazy” – according to the President of the United States….”Whales are landing on the beaches of his golf courses in Massachusetts” 2) Driving the President of the United States crazy because they ruin his view from his golf course in Scotland. 3)…The Japanese don’t care about the windmills as long as they get to do what they want with the whale blubber.  4)…are not even mentioned in the Big Beautiful Bill; but the Fossil Fuel Industry is.

A quote:  “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”  -Attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte

No matter how you score yourself, your zone has been flooded. Thank you for your attention to these matters. See you next week, hopefully.

  1. check windmills in the Nantucket Sound and the fiberglass washing up on the shore and being found in the fish. This is from the industrial accidents of putting wind mills in the richest most pristine fishing grounds in the world. They had a massive accident during a Northeaster last year. Windmills are 100% needed and wanted BUT not in the ocean where massive storms make it risky and where problems are much more dangerous. “We have to destroy the environment in order to save it.” I like wind power generation. I very much dislike wind power in our pristine fishing grounds. Its too dangerous.

I have a company that handkes payments for multinational corporations. Many of those payments are cross border (i.e. international payments amongst Tarrif Payors). Thus far importers to the US from most low cost producers have taken MARGIN COMPRESSION to absorb the impact of the tariffs. The buying power of Walmart and other very large buyers has wnabkes them to force their suppliers to eat much of this cost. They have also quickly moved their supply chains out of China and into Mexico. This “reshoring” saves on freight shipping costs. This is why we have not yet seen the kind of inflation “sky is falling” impacts. Somalia, Yemen, Houtis, rawnda. Check these conflicts. Less ppl dieing is not bad.
